A Successful Megahugpong2018!

Over 500 alumni gathered  last September 29, 2018 at the Cor Jesu Coindre Grounds to celebrate MEGAHUGPONG2018, the Grand Alumni Homecoming of all levels organized by the association to kick-off the preparations for the Diamond Jubilee year of Cor Jesu College (1959-2019).

In preparation for this event, departmental alumni gatherings were organized beginning with the engineering alumni last June 2017, followed by the Special Programs alumni (October 2017), Teachers Education alumni (November 2017), High School alumni (December 2017), Accountancy, Business, Commerce and Graduate School alumni (July 2018) and Computer Studies and Criminology alumni (August 2018).  Officers were elected for each department with the respective presidents assuming their seats as members of the Board of Trustees for 2018-2021.

Induction of departmental officers as well as the new Board of Trustees for 2018-2021 was officiated by Dr. Alex Niez, CJC’s Vice President for Academic Affairs.

With ten tent clusters for the various alumni groups, the evening’s banquet overflowed while the Jose Paolo band entertained the crowd as the evening of great acquaintances and reminiscing unfolded. Raffle prizes added more excitement as lucky winners took  home appliances and other goodies.
