High School Batch’93 Launches the Henrietta C. Sosmeña Alumni Scholarship Program

2018 High School Silver Jubilarians, Batch;93, introduced to the entire Basic Education community the Henrietta C. Sosmeña Scholarship Program during the Sacred Heart Fiesta last June 28, 2019 at the CJC gymnasium.

Representing High School Batch’93 is Vice Mayor-elect Atty. Johari G. Baña who happens to celebrate his birthday on the same day.

The said scholarship aims to support deserving Junior High School students who exemplify the traits the late Tita Sosmeña was known for – academic excellence especially in the field of English communications and her patent love of nation. Batch’93 pledges financial support for selected scholars for the entire Junior High School program from Grade 7 to Grade 10. The program will be managed in coordination with Brother Polycarp iCommDev Foundation and the Cor Jesu College Alumni Affairs Office.

Mechanics of the application and selection process will be announced to the current Grade 7 sections in the coming weeks. Benefits will be enjoyed by the successful candidates retroactive this school year 2019-2020.
